Recipient of the 2013 Best of Alexandria Award

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in individual, adults, and couples, and maintain a private practice in Alexandria Virginia. With over 30 years experience as a Clinical Psychologist, and as a graduate of Howard University in Psychology, I have worked with a broad spectrum of clients in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Among my areas of expertise are marriage and family, neuropsychology, depression, anxiety, and work-related stress.

In addition to being a Clincial Psychologist, I presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of marital relations/relationships with a cultural sensitivity. I presented both locally and internationally. I had the distinct honor to be invited to participate on a marriage project under President Clinton's administration entitled the " Family Impact Seminar, Future of Marriage in the 21st Century: Marriage Project" in Washington D.C. and numerous local churches. 

I have also presented and conducted workshops internationally regarding cultural issues and relationship issues. I conducted workshops entitled "Intimate relationships across the diaspora" in Lagos Nigeria, August, 1995 and "Parenting Relationships: Comparison of African and African Americans" in Nairobi Kenya. August 1997.

I am a certified PAIRS leader, presented workshops at the Smart Marriages conferences, and conducted marital satisfaction research on the Pairs program. Over the years, I continue to educate myself in many aspects of relationship enhancement. I translate cutting-edge research and theories into practical solutions that can assist you with many relationship issues and strengthen marriages. 

I received my Bachelors in degree from Virginia Union University, and my Masters and Doctorate degree at Howard University in Psychology with specializations in Neuropsychology and Marriage and Family.
